Parents

Punctuality
Pupils should arrive in good time for class i.e. before classes line up.
The bell rings at 8:50 and they should be in their line at that time.

Breakfast Club
The Breakfast Club opens at 8:00 and closes at 8:45. The children may have toast, juice and fruit. There is no charge. Parents are asked to supervise their own children if possible.

Attendance
A regular attendance will be expected from each pupil.
The Welfare Act 2000 requires schools to keep a strict record of all absences. Pupils must bring in a note after any absence. Parents should inform the Principal if there is a prolonged absence.
Children may only leave the school during the day if a parent comes to the Principal's Office and signs a permission slip.
Full attendance is awarded every month with a specially designed fridge magnet and with a meal at the end of the year.

Uniform
The complete school uniform must be worn at all times (N.B. A tie is essential).
On a class GYM DAY pupils will be excused from wearing their uniform when the school tracksuit should be worn.

Lunchtime
Pupils should bring in a healthy lunch to school, eg. sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, juice drink.
Chlidren must stay in the schoolyard during lunchtime, except on a wet day when pupils will remain in class.
During the lunch break no pupil should be on the premises without specific permission from the Principal or a Class Teacher unless going to the toilet.
Lunches should be brought to school in the morning. Under no circumstances can the school authorities give permission to any pupil to go to the shop or chipper for lunch. Leaving the yard is a very serious breach of school rules.

Earrings
As earrings may become detached in the yard during play they are not permitted. However, one stud in each ear lobe is allowed.

Mobile Phones
Children should not bring mobile phones to school.
If a child is found with a mobile it will be confiscated by the teacher and will only be returned to parents/guardians.
In exceptional circumstances, parents may request permission to give a child a mobile. In this case the phone is handed to the class teacher switched off at 8:50 and given to the child at 2:30.
