The entire school is so proud of Mr. Hehir!

On October 28th he won the 2013 Dublin City Marathon in a time of 2:18:21 - what an amazing achievement!

Aswell as being a champion cross country runner himself, Mr. Hehir trains the boys and girls in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál after school. Training takes place in our field at the back of the House of Retreat.

In 2012 Mr. Hehir was the 2nd Irish man accross the line in the Dublin City Marathon.

Mr. Hehir won the men's race in the Leinster Senior Cross Country Championships in Kilmacow, January 2011. He also led his teammates home to team gold in the race. Also in January 2011, Mr. Hehir was given the opportunity to represent Ireland in the 20th Antrim International Cross Country Race.

All the staff and pupils in Scoil Mhuire Gan Smál are very proud of Mr. Hehir.

The boys and girls compete annually in the Santry Stadium.

Mr. Hehir also organises inter school races and competitions with some of the schools in the Inchicore area.
